Behavior Technician
As an RBT, you will work under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA’s) to implement behavior intervention plans and provide direct therapy to individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities. This role requires patience, compassion, accurate data recording, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of those you serve.
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years of age and pass a felony (state and national) 10 year background check.
- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field is preferred).
- Completion of a 40-hour training program in behavior analysis (paid for by FBS).
- Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), or ability to obtain RBT certification within 3 months of hire is required. (Training and exam fee’s covered by FBS).
- Successfully pass all required training within 90 days of start date (including physical intervention training, BBP, CPR and First Aid certification) as set forth on a training schedule.
- Must maintain RBT certification and remain in good standing with the certification board for the duration of employment. Lapse in certification will result in the inability to perform position.
- Experience working with individuals with Autism or developmental disabilities preferred.
