Amy graduated from Central Michigan University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Child development and graduated from Oakland University in 2018 with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She has experience providing services to preschoolers, school aged children, adolescents, and families in need of emotional support with mental health disorders and life challenges. She has diverse training in many areas of counseling. Amy utilizes an eclectic range of tools that are tailored to client needs. Common practices used within sessions include: a person centered approach, cognitive behavioral therapy, solution focused therapy, choice theory, and play therapy when appropriate. She has both individual and group counseling experience working with clientele needing help with: anxiety, depression, oppositional defiant disorder, low self esteem, career counseling, life transitions, goals, peer relationships, coping skills, school issues, stress, ADHD, anger management, behavior modification, Family conflict, parenting, and more.
